- Perched atop an office building, this double-volume ceiling penthouse was once an underutilized and overlooked space. Recognizing its untapped potential, we set out to transform it into a vibrant, multifunctional hub—one that fosters both productivity and connection. By opening up the space and maximizing natural light, we created an environment that feels bright, inviting, and energizing.
- Designed with warm terracotta tones, the space now functions as a dynamic work café, where strategically placed loose furniture encourages collaboration and spontaneous interactions. Beyond day-to-day use, it effortlessly adapts into a venue for town halls and larger gatherings, maximizing its purpose and flexibility.
- Rooted in cultural identity, the design embraces local heritage through a Peranakan-inspired vinyl floor, batik feature walls, and a striking mural created in collaboration with a Malaysian artist. These elements infuse the space with warmth and character, celebrating Malaysia’s rich artistic traditions. This transformation showcases how thoughtful design, and cultural storytelling can breathe new life into neglected spaces, turning them into inspiring environments for work, leisure, and connection.
