MADAMA created the office design for catering equipment manufacturer, Stalgast, located in Warsaw, Poland.

The architects of the MADAMA studio have created a project which reflects the individual character of the unique building in which the former Warsaw Vodka Factory “Koneser” was placed. The new office placement in the are of South Prague is, as well, not incidental as this is one of the few places in the capital which was not completely destroyed during World War II. It is a place with an interesting history which should be kept alive. The complex dates from the 2nd half of the 19th century.

Recently the post-industrial area has been given a new life. In the space of the former spirit factory emerged the Centrum Praskie Konser. The courtyard of the former factory has been named Koneser’s Square. Currently it is a space which has a lot of potential for a variety of different activities in which we can find a business center, living spaces, cultural activities, food and fashion fairs as well as the Polish Vodka Museum.

Due to this the interior has been left very raw – there are bricks, concrete and contrasting colors of white and red. At the same time there are wooden elements, which paired with plants warm up the ambiance of the space. Another element which influenced the architects was the profile of the company which commissioned the space. Stalgast is a company which produces, among others, restaurant furnishings and stainless steel accessories. Because of this the interior has been decorated with many steel elements such as the reception desk, wall panelings or the suspended ceiling. Moreover blue elements have been incorporated to reflect the color scheme of the companies logo. A meeting area was created with a comfortable seating area.

The former office of Stalgast was divided into separate spaces for each department. In the new space the architects chose to move away from this concept. Currently the office has an open space plan but has been mapped out in a way so that every department has its privacy. To achieve this glass walls were places as well as decorative felt acoustic panels.

When choosing the interior fixtures of the office the architects chose Polish design elements. The modern and original lighting elements of the Polish company Chors. Furthermore the interior has been decorated with unique office furniture from the company Profim such as the Nu swivel seats and bookshelves from the company Balma.
