Ten years ago, budding Industrial Design graduates, Nick Karlovasitis and Sarah Gibson, stepped into the design industry with a vision of creating a brand that supports the greatness of Australian Design. Since then, the duo has created an extensive range of products, building a collection of over seventy designs with a stellar cohort of Australian Designers including Stefan Lie, Trent Jansen, Tommy Cehak, Tom Fereday, Seaton Mckeon, Jon Goulder and Daniel Tucker. To launch into the next decade, DesignByThem created a special little collection of 1:10 scale miniatures. Photographed and styled by Pete Daly the team describe the exhibition as “Bauhaus meets fun… You know, Bauhaus but if the weather was better.” Brilliant! “We spend a lot of time designing every element to ensure quality and longevity because it’s the little things that count”, they conclude.
