New Delhi-based studio Paul Matter has returned with a new collection of lighting titled Flutter. Made from a signature mid-century modern palette of elegant brass, copper, stone, leather and blown glass – each piece is handcrafted, and precisely balanced between simplicity and detail, and beauty and function. Flutter follows on from their debut collection, Tango – a cymbal-shaped pendant rendered in blackened and buffed brass, copper, and silver. Flutter is a swing arm wall light, inspired by the deconstruction of a clock, pared back to only the minute and hour hands. Its slender and lengthy rotating arms swivel seamlessly from a vertical wall mounted spine to throw light where it’s needed – making the orb-shaped lamp as functional as it is beautiful. The fixture has three variations – with arms stretched in various positions to suit different room styles. Choose from aged brass or burnt brass finish, matched to an etched glass globe.
