A futuristic palette collides with major 70’s vibes in Masquespacio’s Cabinette Co-Working Space in Valencia, creating a vibrant and brilliantly unconventional contemporary workspace. This creative capsule becomes much more than a place of work, its vivacious colour and infectious energy aim to stimulate new experiences.
Masquespacio’s design concept is grounded by a desire to break free from the convention. Long gone are the white walls, grey carpet, and monotonous furniture of the stereotypical office interiors – instead, shimmering silver curtains and delicious velvet-covered chairs have taken their place. The space unfolds with a clear philosophy – “stereotypes and clichés are not allowed,” explain the designers. Masquespacio have designed “a place for those who run away from conventional spaces, for those who want to surround themselves with charisma, for those who seek to build ideas – for design lovers”.
Glowing white tubular lighting, mirrored ceilings, and reflective silver surfaces combine to create a retro-futuristic vibe throughout. Contemporary elements sit alongside a decadent meeting room referencing all of the playfulness of the 70s design.
A deep purple hue lines the entire room, making visitors feel as though they have entered into a whole other universe. Gold dipped furniture and a high gloss timber table combine to create an interior reminiscent of an Alice in Wonderland’s Tea Party, rather than a meeting room. These two distinctly different influences become woven together, creating an arresting and energizing space that brings a fresh perspective to the interiors of the all too often overlooked or visually homogenised workplaces.
