  • TPG Architecture completed the JLL offices with dynamic spaces for collaboration in New York City, New York.
  • JLL is a world leader in real estate services, managing over four billion square feet of property worldwide. The firm’s New York headquarters is located at 330 Madison Avenue amid bustling Midtown. Knowing that JLL needed to expand its offices to accommodate growing needs, the firm enlisted TPG Architecture to lead a substantial renovation in place and expansion project. TPG provided strategy, design, and architectural services to bring their aspirations for the space to fruition.
  • TPG’s Strategy Studio conducted engagement sessions with JLL to better understand their vision for the future office. Ideas such as corporate atmosphere, global presence, pride, and tradition came to the fore. Additionally, JLL wanted its new space to reflect the company’s success, brand, and culture. Most importantly, the workplace needed to serve as an example of what its clients can achieve, regardless of their industry.
  • The team chose to reuse and celebrate the existing architecture in the design. The material palette includes concrete, marble, wood, and metal, which gives the office a raw, yet refined atmosphere. There are also subtle nods to JLL’s red brand color in the furniture selections. Overall, the workplace is sleek, modern, and inviting.
  • The 5th floor serves as the main arrival area for staff and guests and features a cantilever reception desk. It’s positioned in front of the central stair connecting floors 3-5. There is a media wall on one side of the stair, and on the other, there is a green wall. Every floor has a thoughtful feature design moment of biophilia. Additionally, on the northwest portion of the 5th floor, there is a robust and versatile conferencing center. Closer to reception, there is also a Tech Lab for client presentations. The space features a metal mesh ceiling, perforated wood panels, and video screens on the back wall.
  • Around the central stair, the design team incorporated innovative spaces to support different agile, functional, and flexible work settings. This includes banquette seating, tiered seating, and small tables for informal work. These spaces are outfitted with built-in power and data access points, and there are nearby huddle rooms to support more intensive technology-drive assignments.
  • Additionally, the workplace has glass-fronted offices on the perimeter and open bench workstations on the interior. These work areas feature height-adjustable desks. The employee experience is supported by generous amenities, including a large café on the third floor. Additionally, each floor has a pantry off the main boulevard. The workplace is expected to reach LEED Gold and WELL Gold certification.
