Mint Architecture AG has completed the design for the SIX Group offices, a financial services company located in Zurich, Switzerland. Our customer, with around 4,000 employees worldwide, has set itself the goal of continuing its innovation efforts and creating a new working environment for the growing internal innovation department. Mint Architecture was asked to design and implement the interior. The declared goal was to create a state-of-the-art innovation space that would meet the diverse needs of future knowledge workers. Within the space, interdisciplinary teams work on agile initiatives, external and internal people meet for workshops, ideas are worked out and developed into ventures. These creative working approaches are to be perceived in the space. In addition to productivity, openness, creativity and flexibility were also at the forefront. The rooms should encourage the exchange of ideas and promote creativity and thereby drive innovation forward. In several workshops, the innovation processes and the corresponding activities of the teams involved were analyzed in close collaboration with the customer. On this basis, room and furniture typologies were determined and based on the existing brand a new appearance has been developed. The results are functionally thought-out rooms based on the “Activity Based Working” approach, which give the innovation department a dynamic, modern and activating home with a creative look & feel.
