The concept of Mediterranean collaboration championed by Viccarbe has been turned into an office fully equipped with iconic pieces from the collection.
The space houses seven rooms divided into a cozy lobby, collaborative work areas, a conference room, an individual office, open office operating stations and a third informal meeting space.
The lobby has been conceived as a cozy lounge, in which various pieces are located around the iconic Sistema sofa designed by Lievore Altherr Molina. The result completely blurs the lines between commonplace waiting rooms and the comfort of a residential space. The walls have been covered with natural oak wood, complementing the leather and linen textiles and giving great warmth and sophistication to the ensemble, from which the rest of the rooms may be accessed.
Collaborative work rooms have been conceived as neutral spaces allowing diverse activities such as videoconferences, brief meetings or even coworking, for those clients who decide to spend their working day in the office. The minimalism of the Trestle table – by John Pawson – is combined with the character of the designs of Jaime Hayon (with the ‘Aleta’ chair), and the Italian Piero Lissoni (with the ‘Season Chair’).
In this case, the sole private office has been reserved for the directors of the firm. It is directly connected to the conference room by a relaxed reading corner, which has been strategically placed in order to receive natural light from the outside. The main objective was to break the typical molds for meeting rooms and return to the Mediterranean warmth of the whole project. Today, the space is home to a multidisciplinary team that varies according to the tasks carried out throughout the day, or the level of communication reached with the rest of the members. Far from creating barriers that would prevent the exchange of ideas, the various members share workstations and have the option to make use of the other areas when they require greater privacy.
Located in the historic center of the city of Valencia and overlooking the Palacio del Marqués de Dos Aguas, the new offices of BORSO Abogados are the result of work carried out closely between Víctor Carrasco, Founder and Strategic Director of Viccarbe, and Juan Manuel Borso di Carminati, the lawyer at the head of the firm.
