The Danish company, Planday, has over the last decade become increasingly successful in large parts of the world with their employee scheduling software. Growing out of an old warehouse on Islands Brygge, with teams walking between three floors, the management team decided to go all in on creating a brand new headquarters for their 100+ employees, based out of Copenhagen.
It is not easy to make a great new office in the city, especially when you’re a fast-growing scale-up, so when Kuglegården on Holmen in heart of Copenhagen became available, the management team started dreaming up what they could do with the 2400 square meters of raw space.
Kuglegården is as iconic as it is historic. In 1743, the property was home to the Naval Arsenal and was the pride and joy of the Danish King. In recent years, the building owner, Mogens de Linde, has put a lot of care and effort into restoring the grounds and its buildings.
Everywhere, there are beautiful Danish designs and reinterpretations of old classics, a design philosophy that is reflected both in their interior as in the user interface of Planday’s platform. Consistency in brand and culture matters a lot here.
