L'appartamento, oggetto dell'intervento di progettazione, è situato nel centro di Roma.
Il Rione Ludovisi, è un quartiere elegante e moderno, sorto agli inizi del '900, e ospita dalla sue origini villini signorili e palazzi nobiliari, caffè e ristoranti, alberghi di lusso.
Nella fase di progettazione degli interventi, si è tenuto conto delle peculiarità del contesto storico, senza tralasciare l'esigenze di un ambiente abitativo moderno, manifestate dalla giovane famiglia committente dei lavori. La progettazione è stata guidata quindi dalla volontà di esaltare le caratteristiche storiche dell'involucro, intervenendo però per accrescere il comfort degli spazi interni, dilatando in particolare quelli destinati alla condivisione - il soggiorno, la cucina - e creando tra questi nuove ampie aperture che ne rendessero più fluida la fruizione.
In tutti gli ambienti sono state evitate le chiusure, lasciando ad armadiature ed elementi schermanti trasparenti il compito di definire gli spazi.
Gli spazi privati sono quelli più raccolti, e ad ognuno è stato conferito un proprio carattere.
In tutto il progetto sono state scelte finiture appropriate al pregio del contesto e dell'edificio post-unitario, non rinunciando però alla modernità e alla comodità proveniente dalla presenza di servizi tecnologici di ultima generazione.
The apartment, subject of the design intervention, is located in the center of Rome.
The Rione Ludovisi, is an elegant and modern district, built at the beginning of the 20th century, and from its origins it has been home to elegant villas and noble palaces, cafes and restaurants, luxury hotels.
In the planning phase of the interventions, the peculiarities of the historical context were taken into account, without neglecting the needs of a modern living environment, expressed by the young family who commissioned the works. The design was therefore guided by the desire to enhance the historical characteristics of the envelope, intervening however to increase the comfort of the interior spaces, expanding in particular those intended for sharing - the living room, the kitchen - and creating among these new large openings that made its use more fluid.
In all the rooms, closures have been avoided, leaving cabinets and transparent shielding elements to define the spaces.
The private spaces are the most intimate, and each one has been given its own character.
Throughout the project, finishes appropriate to the value of the context and of the post-unitary building were chosen, without renouncing the modernity and comfort coming from the presence of the latest generation technological services.
