Fields of intervention: landscape and interior design
At the entrance to the city of Xi’an and immersed in an enchanting natural context, this hotel was envisioned as a place dedicated to wellness of the body and mind – an exclusive refuge composed of 35 suites and designed to offer guests an intimate experience that is deeply rooted in Chinese cultural tradition.
The architecture of the landscape accompanies the visitor on a pathway of discovery and contemplation. Bamboo, cherry and pine trees, water-sculpted rocks and reflecting pools all interact with one another to form a composition that reinterprets the tradition of the Chinese garden in a contemporary key. The entrance, defined by a large opening inspired by the traditional moon gate, leads into areas where nature, spirituality and design merge in balanced harmony.

The interiors establish a dialogue between East and West, interweaving references to the culture of the Tang dynasty with the elegance of Italian design. The spaces are defined by an essential and refined aesthetic, where natural materials, surfaces and handcrafted detailing cultivate a warm and sophisticated atmosphere. The large openings towards the park erase the boundary between the interior and exterior, turning nature into an integral part of the project.

Art and architecture coexist throughout. Sculptures and art installations are interspersed around the garden, while the lobby is conceived as a gallery where the works accompany the guest pathway. The sculptural staircase facing the park and connecting the two levels of the restaurant is embellished with artworks, transforming this vertical connection into a contemplative journey through art and nature.
Developed as a key component of the design, light enhances both materials and artworks, contributing to creating an atmosphere that changes over the course of the day.
The result is a place where tradition and contemporaneity, nature and culture, all coexist in a measured and elegant equilibrium.
