Location: London, UK vsszan48216030101411.jpg LOCATION AND CONCEPT
The property is located in the King’s Road area of London — a typical three-storey townhouse with a narrow staircase, a fireplace on each floor, and a small inner courtyard.
We were faced with an ambitious, exciting, and at the same time challenging task: to transform the building into a multifunctional space for a new company. The business will operate across several sectors, including designer furniture sales, interior furnishing, project management, architecture, design, construction, and real estate development.

              vsszan48216030101413.jpg
vsszan48216030101414.jpg The space was required to serve several purposes simultaneously: a working office, a place for meetings, presentations and events, and a furniture showroom. Each floor needed to have its own distinct function and visual identity.
The main design challenge was to create unique atmospheres for each level — with different materials, styles, and moods — while ensuring that the entire composition felt unified, like a musical piece or a narrative with an unpredictable plot. Every square centimeter of space was considered and utilized as efficiently as possible.

Due to strict restrictions from local authorities, we were not allowed to make major changes to the building’s façade. Instead, we refreshed the original color and added a subtle ornamental detail. A small terrace was introduced at the entrance, where a coffee station will be placed, surrounded by seasonal floral arrangements.
The inner courtyard was redesigned with terracotta-colored walls, black-and-white floor tiles, and vibrant furniture — creating both comfort and a strong visual statement.

                      vsszan482160301014110.jpg GROUND FLOOR
This floor functions as the main entry point into the space. Here we placed a cozy seating area by the entrance, a meeting table with a screen opposite, and shelves for material and product presentations.
The design combines modern elements with classic wall treatments, creating a smooth transition from the city streets to the curated interior environment.

                          vsszan482160301014116.jpg FIRST FLOOR
This level is divided into two main zones: a traditionally inspired living room and a bathroom area.
The stylistic concept references a classic London home interior, reinterpreted through a bold, expressive lens.
The living room serves as a dynamic display zone for furniture and art, with items regularly rotated. The bathroom is separated by a transparent, bright-orange wardrobe and showcases products from Antonio Lupi.
Both the walls and furnishings are finished in marble, selected for the company’s upcoming VD materials collection.

                                  vsszan482160301014125.jpg SECOND FLOOR
The top floor is designed in warm, muted beige tones with a rich mix of textures — natural wood, metals, and various marble finishes.
Stylistically, it contrasts sharply with the floors below: the atmosphere here is more brutalist, defined by restraint, material honesty, and a lack of classic detailing.
The centerpiece is a kitchen with an island, intended for private events, presentations, and parties, while also functioning as a showroom element. The rest of the space is intended for informal socializing, anchored by a modern fireplace.

The staircase areas are finished in calm, neutral tones to provide visual relief and allow focus on curated contemporary art pieces displayed along the route.
Lighting fixtures for this zone were designed based on custom sketches, further emphasizing the project’s unique, tailored approach to every detail.
