i.c.ology= i + c + ology
品牌的 i 和 c 分別節取自三年前設計師草創成立的兩間生活館和咖啡館名的第一個開頭字母。在主持店務同時,為生活使用而作的設計品便不斷地在設計師的雙手間成型。從開始的布類手藝商品,一直延伸到現在的木製家居產品。三年間不僅在產品設計種類上品項增加,設計師對自有設計品的美學概念也益發為人熟知並能吸引共鳴。
2010年當品牌在上海正式發聲時,便希望將設計師對設計細節有美好追求的生活態度,能像門學說(-ology)一般,在同好間散播,自成一格。
品牌精神:家居設計就該融入生活中,在時刻使用中體會設計的細節美感。
“i” and “c” are taken from the two individual initial letters of the life store and the coffee shop both established by designer in 2008. Upon running business back that time, designing craft for sake of life use was formed continuously between designer’s hands. From the beginning was fabric craft and now is extending to household products made of wood, types of product items are increasing but also is designer’s own aesthetic concept well known and attracted to the public. While icology officially started up in Shanghai in 2010, we anticipate designer’s specific attitude toward wonderful life from pursuing over design details can be like a doctrine (-ology) and generally spreads among people with same interest and become an icon.
Brand spirit: household products design is to immerse in life , and the beauty of design details is to appreciate upon using objects daily .
