设计师带头人

　　在世界汽车设计领域，有两个名字无人不知，那正是来自意大利的Italdesign和被评为“世纪设计大师”的乔治亚罗。对于这个值得骄傲的称号，乔治亚罗是当之无愧的，不论是他设计的为数众多、遐迩闻名的名车还是他所创立的目前全球效益最好也是规模最大的汽车设计室Italdesign来看，乔治亚罗和他的设计室已经成为汽车设计领域经典的象征
　　乔治亚罗毕业于都灵美术学院，17岁进入菲亚特汽车公司工作。Italdesign由乔治亚罗和工程师曼托瓦尼创立于1968年，主要给国际汽车生产商提供汽车样式、工艺和原型生产。许多世界著名车厂与之有着良好的合作关系，客户群庞大而稳定。公司的名字后来发生了改动：1987年变为Italdesign S.p.A.(意大利设计股份公司);从1999年7月(在1999年9月进入股市之前)开始叫做Italdesign-Giugiaro股份公司。
　　Italdesign拥有完备而先进的硬件设施，公司占地面积42,000平方米，拥有CAD/CAM工作站系统450套，数控机床16台，不同吨位的冲压机10台，激光切割机器人6台，三维坐标测量仪 15台，原型车生产线 3条。其规模已接近普通小车厂。Italdesign同时有着一支十分庞大的设计队伍，名气和高薪是吸引设计师的重要原因;能为这样的设计室工作是每个汽车造型师的梦想。
　　不过拥有骄人成绩的乔治亚罗也不是一步登天，这位设计大师也是凭借自己的努力和超人的天赋，在不断的磨砺中取得令人瞩目的成绩。当初的乔治亚罗加入了有着悠久历史的博通设计室,师从吕思奥·博通。吕思奥·博通的教诲深深影响了乔治亚罗，拓展了他的创作空间，使他的天赋得以展现，同时造就了乔治亚罗惊人的想象力。人们说，博通先后造就了两位设计大师，其中之一就是乔治亚罗，另一位是设计出林宝坚尼跑车的马塞罗·甘迪尼Marcello Gandini。
　　在博通的这段时间，乔治亚罗创作了许多以实用性为主的汽车，大受欢迎，同时也确立了自己朴实、简练、细腻、流畅的实用风格。后来由于种种原因，乔治亚罗离开了博通，来到设计风格更适合自己的GHIA设计室，但是在这儿他却没有多少优秀的作品问世。1968年乔治亚罗自立门户，与著名的汽车工程师曼托瓦尼一起成立了Italdesign，并为此倾注了他全部的心血。乔治亚罗不仅是一位优秀的造型设计师，他还具有企业管理的天赋，在他的领导下，设计室规模日渐壮大、生意红火。现在，能为这个设计室工作已成为每个汽车造型师的梦想。
　　20世纪六、七十年代，以美国车为代表的夸张造型达到了鼎盛时期，然而，当时世界经济处于萧条时期，对汽车有直接影响的便是燃油危机。在那个时候，大家更需要一种简单、实用、有良好空气动力性的车型，于是以乔治亚罗为代表的意大利车身设计界所倡导的朴实、简练、细腻、流畅的实用风格在国际上得到了很高的评价。乔治亚罗也籍此奠定了大师级的地位。据称，世界上现有2500多款他设计的汽车在行驶着，除了一些著名的法拉利、阿尔发·罗米欧和蓝旗亚车型之外，在历史上获得卓著成功的菲亚特家庭轿车如熊猫(Panda)、乌诺(Uno)、鹏托(Punto)、派力奥等都是出自这位大师之手。
