I was the designer on the project with the help of my assistant. The apartment is in Brooklyn, NY. After designing a second home for my clients in Charleston, SC they hired me to design their new apartment in Brooklyn. The corner apartment boasts large windows and an amazing view of the Brooklyn bridge. This client has an affinity for art and a contemporary aesthetic. I used color, texture and a mix of furniture styles to offset the crisp lines of the architecture. We refinished the hardwood floors, which are a Brazilian hardwood and gave them a rich ebony stain. We painted the kitchen and added some interest with a blue moroccan tile backsplash. To add texture and depth I wallpapered the living/dining room, the master bedroom and their son's room. I also commissioned the custom dining table and bench and the bedside tables.
