今年入围名单上的几位候选人，比如dRMM的“醒目黑斯廷斯码头”(The醒目Hastings Pier)，都获得了高度赞扬，同时学生出色的表现也通过两个现金奖获得了庆祝-一个奖是马克·拉班(Mark Laban)的“拉班凳子1.0”(Rustic凳子1.0)，另一个是达米安·罗宾逊(Damian Robinson)的“黑帮饮料内阁”
从仔细的翻新，到全新的结构，工程壮举和年轻人才，木材奖一贯承认和奖励伟大的设计，同时推广这种真正的自然可持续的材料。
