At the onset in conceptualizing theinteriors of this classical house typology, we wanted very much to break theexisting volumetric structure with its interiors. This allows the house betterconnectivity, both visually and spatially, in order to bring about a modernaesthetic.
玫瑰源别墅位于宜兴，在对这个古典的别墅进行设计改造时，我们打破视觉和空间上的框架, 让别墅内的每个空间都融合在一起，同时揉合现代设计美学概念，使人享受到深邃、沉稳和闲适的生活态度。
With the owner being a local fusion restaurateur, the arrival groundfloor entry level decidedly becomes the reception and entertainment wingwherein guests are welcomed with a long axial formal gallery linking all spacesin the living, dining, cards rooms and show kitchen spaces. This turns out tobe an effective party space for the frequent dinner parties the owner throws.
业主是一位当地知名的概念餐厅东主，首层无疑成为一个接待和享用私房菜的派对空间。通过一个狭长的廊厅，连接着餐厅、茶艺室与开放厨房区。业主和他的餐饮团队，在此招待他的客人。

With the house resting on a hilly terrain, the basement opens outwardstowards an expansive lawn and reflecting pool in the lower garden. Setup as amore introvert level for music and visual arts, this level includes the mainstudy, treasures collection synonymous to local Yixing culture of tea pots andcups, as well as the tea and music rooms. It is here that we sort very much tofuse local Chinese culture with contemporary design to bringing about acohesive dwelling conducive for quiet contemplation and appreciation.
别墅座落于小山丘上，宽阔草坪和庭园景观倒映在室外的水池中，交织成唯妙的视觉感官。地下室则成为音乐和艺术的休闲空间，展示着业主的文化珍宝与乐具藏品，以现代设计相结合的配搭来来创造一个安静沉思的观赏氛围。
A more private familyliving space ensues on the second floor with lighter tonal finishes for a morecomfortable and casual setting. We kept the classical room by room construct instark contrast to the floor below for the junior bedrooms and a master ensuitewing at the southeast corner for best daylight and vantage points. 二层则是一个私密的家庭空间，室内色调选用浅色物料，运用不同的材质营造出空间的趣味性，同时打造出舒适放松的气氛。而在日照充沛的东南角布置成主人套房，使之享有最好的视觉感官。
