In 2010, Jasmine and Nick teamed up with Jasmines sister, Melissa, to form Hemsley + Hemsley, a collaboration that has spawned a series of cookbooks, a TV show and a café in Selfridges. Jasmine and Nick’s latest project, cookbook East by West, focuses on Eastern wisdom for Western wellbeing and is the source of inspiration behind their new Ayurvedic restaurant in Soho, the first of its kind in London. As a co-founder and creative director of the businesses, Nick lends his brand know-how to the mix, in addition to working as a freelance photographer for the likes of Vogue.
After years of inner-city life, Nick and Jasmine made the move out to Bromley in 2018 as a way of compromising between Nick’s pull towards his countryside roots and Jasmine’s ‘city girl’ sensibilities. Since then, they’ve been enjoying the extra space afforded at their new home; filling the space with Jasmine’s upcycled furniture and objects sourced from car boot sales; going on walks with their three dogs and growing vegetables in their kitchen garden.
