HED has realized the luxurious design of the Northern Trust Asset Management offices, located in Chicago, Illinois.
Northern Trust asked HED to design a new workplace for its Asset Management team. This project came at a time when Northern Trust was exploring new ways of thinking about its workspaces, and the resulting design pushed the boundaries of the traditional work environment.
Specific project goals included consolidating employees and resources onto one floor; supporting a collaboration-friendly environment that fosters connection and innovation; and meeting the varying needs of both client-facing and non-client facing Northern Trust Partners for functionality, confidentiality and agility.
Intended to showcase Northern Trust’s Asset Management arm to current and potential clients, the workplace was also created with the client experience at the forefront. From clear wayfinding to the right balance of visibility and privacy, the luxurious, technologically-advanced interior is designed to welcome and impress, offering a level of client service on par with boutique asset management firms.
