Creo Design Group was tasked with the design of the new Alteryx offices, a computer software company located in Sydney, Australia. In collaboration with NPM, Creo was brought on by computer software company Alteryx to design their first ever work space in Sydney, the objective was to create a fresh, flexible environment and an office space that inspires. Alteryx are an expanding international company and needed a space that would make their mark. It was vital the space was functional and had the facilities for collaboration. The project was inspired by the eastern beaches of Sydney, to make every work day feel more like an epic day at the beach. We sourced high altitude photographs taken from above various Sydney beaches to give the office a different perspective. These images were used across large feature walls in a breakout room, wall arches and across the front of lockers. These custom images inform the over-all vibe of the space, light and bright with beach side warmth. The materials in this space also play a key factor in the design, the surf boards were recycled, concrete flooring, the kitchen uses weatherboarding walls, hand glazed subway tile and the lamp shades were rustic weaved. Each of these elements was in keeping with the raw, natural materials used in Coogee Pavilion interior. The arches in the kitchen and main entrance are also based on the arches of Bondi and Coogee pavilion’s structure. Another stand out feature was the wooden Pergola with greenery in the kitchen, bringing a taste of the outdoors, indoors. These visual elements express the company’s culture, but also provide employees and clients with an experiential connection to the Sydney beaches just a short journey away.
