anySCALE created the office design for global luxury car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz, located in Hong Kong. The fact the new Mercedes-Benz headquarter in Hong Kong is located in a former go down for the storage of Chivas Regal whiskey and other goods set the tone for our initial design approach. Different to what traditionally can be expected from a corporate headquarters this office defines luxury in a creative way: splendid views over the bay, open loft-style working environment and various casual activity areas are spread over two floors all set into the industrial not to say rough ware house environment. Based on our designers understanding of the brands self-esteem of “The Best or Nothing” we have created an office free of hierarchies fostering collaboration and cross border communication. The brands elegance and corporate style is represented by a palette of surfaces around black, wood notes, orange and grey tones all embedded into the white tonality of an existing concrete structure of the ware house. High-lights are created by color accents coming from custom designed art work installations, carefully selected product images and few special selected colorful furniture and light installations.
