Concept Commercial Interiors recently accomplished the design for The Hive Collingwood coworking offices located in Melbourne, Australia.
When international coworking space company, The Hive, was looking to establish their roots in Melbourne, they reached out to Concept Commercial Interiors to design their first Australian venue. Finding the perfect location was the first step, with The Hive, choosing an older warehouse in the heart of Collingwood.
The CCI team saw the opportunity to preserve the existing structure’s natural characteristics of raw timber and concrete to create a functional and modern office that leaves a lasting impression. An abundance of natural light, high ceilings, and sustainable material create a biophilic environment that promotes productivity and offers a unique co-working space for businesses to thrive.
Although integration of the old with the new proved, challenging, intense collaboration with stakeholders and local council saw a smooth transformation of the warehouse into a beautiful multi-functioning workplace that met The Hive’s values, continuing their global presence and proving a standout space against competitors.
