Lamar Johnson Collaborative has realized the office design for Much Law, a full-service firm located in Chicago, Illinois.
Much attracts top attorneys from the nation’s largest law firms because of its collaborative and collegial work environment and contemporary business operations vibe.
Much retained LJC to consolidate its existing three floors into a two-floor stack in their Chicago office at 191 N Wacker Dr. LJC contracted the square footage per attorney from the industry standard of 675 to 423, resulting in a workplace reduction of 27,000 SF and savings in the millions throughout their lease term. To reinforce and promote collaborative practice, the number of communal spaces were increased, including workrooms, conference areas, and synergistic collaborative zones. Also, teams and employees were aligned into better adjacencies to improve overall workplace efficiencies.
LJC’s successful workplace planning resulted in a reduction in square footage and coupled with a modern design that embraces their collaborative and collegial culture; we created a new efficient office space that successfully represents Much’s mainstay in Chicago.
