switchup realized the office design for IMS, a global medical company specializing in large scale projects, located in Ramat Gan, Israel.
IMS is an innovative company with specific needs out of an office space, SwitchUP sought create a design that is both modern and warm, with clean and bright accents throughout the office.
The initial reception area of IMS provides both a welcoming space for visitors and clients to check in and get information as well as introducing the soft warm lighting and white and natural woods that will pervade the entire office space. The high ceilings are also brought to human scale a bit through use of the lighting and the grey wall accents reminiscent of an art deco style.
The reception desk opens up into a lounge area with comfortable yet sleek seating that provides a soft landing spot for clients of IMS to wait for appointments, or for informal catch up meetings among employees.
The kitchen acts as a central meeting point for team members to eat as well as to hold small conferences about company projects. The sleek, modern kitchen appliances uses the same white and natural woods we see throughout the design and also features a long bar-style island for individuals to eat lunch or for IMS to host small company happy hours right in house.
Designers take advantage of the beautiful natural light and wonderful views of the city throughout the office space, even in the restrooms, where a bold patterned floor tile brings a little more youthfulness and playfulness into the workspace. The sinks and countertops feature only the basins and are not cluttered with other design aspects, keeping the restroom just as clean and minimal as the rest of the design.
Throughout the workspace, pockets of privacy provide areas where employees can take important client calls, get a bit of quiet before a large presentation, or tend to a personal telephone call. Even the smallest spaces in the office take advantage of the view and sunlight, though, and this pocket office features almost floor to ceiling windows.
