In this conceptual kitchen, Bianco Di Lucca's ballast was combined with another natural material, however, much more rustic, the Chelsea Dark Red terracotta, which covers floors and walls.
This contrast of textures and colors arose from the idea of further highlighting the porcelain ballasts that line the pediment and build the countertop, island and also shelves. The handmade terracotta and the ballasts that refer to matt marble create a dialogue about how nature expresses itself in different, yet complementary ways.
Marble and clay are part of the history of the kitchen. They have always been present in their work areas and utensils and here the two materials together create a contemporary, minimalist and tactile space. A new interpretation of marble, more associated with our origins, the essential and the timing of things.
