- Set within the revitalised Ulster Lane in Brisbane, the design for this space takes elements from the historical building and pairs them with new features to create a contemporary and rustic feel. The red brick walls provide a level of warmth which are offset by contrasting black and white joinery. The high ceilings give an extra level of presence which are warmed by the timber trusses that run vertically across in certain areas.
- The space flows seamlessly from breakout to boardroom to collaborative workstations. This open plan style encourages an easy transition between working hard and playing hard. No reception area gives a relaxed feel for both staff and visitors, with an informal greeting and introduction into the office. Generous storage space is provided, with built in black joinery becoming a feature against the red brick walls. Greenery has been placed throughout providing a softer element to the tactile brick and timber materials. Overall, the space holds the perfect balance between the old and new, with original building features being paired with a contemporary way of working.
