- Hays, a leading global specialist recruiting group, engaged STACK Interiors to design their Auckland workplace to infuse energy, warmth, and a local touch. The outcome is a testament to the power of combining global perspectives, local custom, and cultural identity in creating a unique and inviting workplace.
- The design brief revolved around crafting an energetic, engaging, and vibrant workplace that pays homage to local culture while embracing the distinct design specialties of Hays’ offices and values across the globe.
- The design strategy aimed at crafting spaces that not only promote a sense of comfort and belonging, but also engage both employees and visitors, by creating areas for connection and relaxation.
- The new Hays branding, characterised by bold, open, flexible, and energetic elements, was woven into the workplace design. Angular walls and floor patterns were introduced to echo the branding, while maximising natural light from the building’s perimeter windows. The result, a harmonious fusion of form and function, showcases Hays’ refreshed brand identity.
- The workplace was mindfully enhanced with Te Pā Harakeke, integrating Māori values into Hays’ brand and showcasing their respect for the local community. The symbolic connection of the pā harakeke (flax bush) as a metaphor for family or whānau, highlights the importance of meaningful connections, aligning with Hays’ customer-centric ethos.
