- Hong Kong based In-between Architects Limited designed a private investment firm located in the heart of Hong Kong’s CBD. With a vision to create a multi-functional space that accommodates art appreciation, private events and more, In-between Architects collaborated with the client to transform their office into a unique and inviting sanctuary.
- Architect Ivan Wong Wei-Him took a conceptual approach inspired by the nautical world, paying homage to the company’s maritime industry background. The design concept seamlessly blended a sense of luxury yacht living with the vibrancy of a sailing vessel while enhancing the warmth and comfort of the space.
- The journey of the office space starts with an entrance foyer gallery. It showcases the client’s passion for art through an extensive collection by local artists. Walking through a corridor of captivating artwork, the guests are guided into a welcoming lounge area. The movable furniture allows the flexibility of transitioning the lounge into a private event space that accommodates gatherings and live musical performances.
- To achieve the desired ambience of yacht living and home comfort, In-between Architects selected materials like oak flooring and texture paint for the lounge area. Gentle curves throughout the space evoke the feeling of a luxurious vessel but cozy environment.
- As the client expressed in the very beginning of the project, ‘I hope the result would look like a home rather than an office, as working with a great team makes one feel like part of a family.” In-between Architects is dedicated to bringing this vision to life, creating a space that not only serves as a functional workplace but also nurtures a sense of belonging and togetherness.
