  • Amid the rapid evolution of the IT industry and the continuous emergence of new startups, YOONCOMS has established a solid position as a leading domestic DX company, achieving steady growth over the years. In designing the workspace for YOONCOMS, which has grown into a domestic DX specialist through 20 years of IT commercialization, the project was steered with the concept of “New Tradition” — a pairing of seemingly contrasting ideas. The goal of the design was to harmonize the company’s historical achievements with the forward-looking image of its emerging technologies, reflecting a dual focus on “tradition” and “future” within the same space.
  • Applying Contrasting Concepts to the Space
  • The design was crafted to achieve depth and visual tension by combining rich woods with light steel, smooth metal finishes with rough stone textures, and light hues with dark wood tones. Subtle shades of gray, infused with hints of green — YOONCOMS’ branding color — were applied to the walls and ceilings, allowing the company’s brand identity to resonate softly throughout the space.
  • Functional Zoning for Optimized Space
  • The workspace layout carefully separates key zones such as the DX Square, meeting rooms, seminar room, and office area to prevent overlap in functionality and ensure each area serves its unique purpose. The seminar room is designed with a dedicated external entrance, and features soundproofing and acoustic absorption to prevent noise from spilling over into adjacent meeting rooms. This area also includes a vestibule and a 90-degree hallway to further enhance privacy and quiet.
  • Designing for Occupancy and Efficiency
  • The office space is where employees spend the most time, so it was designed for comfort and productivity. A brainstorming hot desk with optimal views was positioned in the best location, and lockers and open meeting spaces were strategically placed along commuting pathways. Departments that collaborate frequently were located near each other, with team leaders seated to allow for easy interaction with their members, enhancing workflow efficiency.
  • This workspace design for YoonComms reflects a balanced approach, incorporating change while respecting the company’s established identity, and capturing the essence of its vision and values in the process.
