Nestled against a verdant ravine just north of Toronto, Canada, The Ravine House by Prosun Architects combines clean architectural lines with soft light and earthy textures, creating a residence that opens itself to the changing rhythms of the seasons.By opening the home to the surrounding trees and shifting landscape, the architecture draws the gaze outward to nature while providing a profound sense of refuge. Carved with abstract leaf patterns and supported by slender steel columns, the facade references the forest canopy, evoking the feeling of moving beneath the trees. Inside, natural light becomes the primary medium of the design. A central courtyard serves as an anchor point and a visual connection to the outdoors, merging open sky and greenery with the interior. Expansive windows and skylights capture the shifting qualities of light throughout the day.
