D’Marvel Scale reimagines a 1,000‑square‑foot, two‑bedroom condominium into a calm, contemporary home shaped by spatial clarity, concealed utility and finely tuned material choices.
Designed for easy daily living and effortless entertaining, the 25‑year‑old unit has been reconfigured from top to bottom to prioritise generous circulation, an expanded master suite and a cohesive open living domain.
Based in Singapore, D’Marvel Scale is an interior practice focused on tailoring layouts to client lifestyles through precise reconfiguration, functional flow and custom carpentry. The studio’s work privileges visual cleanliness, multifunctional zones and seamless detailing that enhances both aesthetics and day‑to‑day use. Landbay Condo articulates this philosophy with concealed thresholds, integrated storage and adaptable furniture that make every square foot work intelligently.
The original compartmentalised plan is replaced with an expansive, connected arrangement that privileges movement and sightlines. Hidden doors discreetly absorb the bedroom corridor and a powder room, maintaining a continuous wall plane and a calm, uninterrupted visual field. From entry to living and kitchen zones, transitions are legible yet understated, supported by a consistent floor finish that links spaces while preserving distinct functions.
A custom feature wall near the entry offers partial transparency and a subtle sense of arrival. Facing into the lounge, it also houses the TV console, performing as both divider and joinery to organise the main volume without bulk.
The living area is anchored by a neutral sofa, round coffee table and soft rug, creating a relaxed centre for conversation and viewing. Adjacent, the island operates as a social fulcrum: a concealed table system extends to accommodate formal dining, then tucks away to restore generous circulation. The dry kitchen fronts the island with a modern sink and ample prep surface, encouraging casual meals and everyday workflow.
Behind a fluted‑glass sliding door, the wet kitchen handles primary cooking. Light grey, handleless cabinetry, a dark sink, and a marble‑effect backsplash establish a quiet, utilitarian elegance. Under‑cabinet lighting supports task work, while a black range hood becomes a crisp graphic note. The separation keeps odours and splatter contained, preserving the calm character of the open living zone.
