Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, born Maria Ludwig Michael Mies, was born in Aachen, Germany on March 27, 1886, and died on August 17, 1969. He was a German modern architect, the third director of the Bauhaus, and one of the most celebrated masters of modernism, considered one of the Four Great Masters of Modern Architecture, along with Frank Lloyd Wright, Le Corbusier, and Walter Gropius.

Mies adhered to the architectural design philosophy of "less is more." His approach championed the concept of fluid space, while simultaneously advocating the elimination of all ornamentation in pursuit of "pure form." This maxim influenced an era of architecture, graphic design, product design, and visual design, and continues to guide the creative practice of numerous designers today, becoming an enduring aesthetic principle that transcends time and space.

In an age of efficiency and information overload, returning home urgently requires a physical and mental cleansing. Therefore, achieving multi-dimensional purification through order and warmth within the home is crucial.

Based on the daily lives of a family of four, this design creates a clear world, drawing on the " less is more " philosophy of German architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, and furthering the art of "order" and the influence of "warmth."

Located in the coastal city of Shantou, rich in landscape resources, the design blends diverse formal expressions with a vibrant light atmosphere, avoiding superficial dialogue or compromise between order and warmth, and instead illustrating the relationship between "warm order" and "orderly warmth" through personalized details.

The emotions that permeate the space, in a pure, clear, and harmonious narrative, promote modernism to inject warmth and interest into life. The refined textures and tension of black, white, and gray interpret the timeless spiritual connotations of the rhyme of white space, interspersed with appropriate wood elements, revealing the added value that nature brings to the quality of life.

在效率至上与信息过载的时代,回到家,亟待一次身心的洗礼,所以如何通过居所里的秩序与温度达成多维的净化就显得尤为重要。立足四口人的日常,开辟澄澈天地,借德国建筑师路德维希·密斯·凡德罗“ 少即是多 ”的理念,深化“ 秩序 ”的艺术与“ 温度 ”的影响。

项目位于海滨之城汕头,景观资源丰富。设计糅合多样的形式表达与灵动的光感氛围,规避秩序与温度的浅层对话或妥协,以个性化的细节阐述“有温度的秩序”与“有秩序的温度”的关系。

活跃于空间的情绪,在纯粹、明晰、和谐的叙事中,推动现代主义为生活注入温馨意趣。精炼黑白灰的质感与张力,诠释留白韵境跨时代的精神内涵,穿插适量的木元素,揭示自然性予以生活品质的附加值。
Free Socializing
敞阔公区

Overemphasizing order can lead to coldness. Utilizing diverse storage methods to hide items creates organized visual white space, overlaying warm materials and soft light and shadow to reveal a warm order. Excessive pursuit of warmth can undermine the sense of function. By connecting rational order, we create emotional stories and traces of time, defining an orderly warmth.

The entryway also serves as a small leisure area, capturing the light from the public areas and creating a profound prelude for those returning home. A low platform, defined by marble, creates a clear boundary between the areas, capturing the allure of light and the rhythm of shadow. An inward recess echoes the slenderness of the columns, creating an elegant single chair where one can recline and gaze at the clear sky.

过度强调秩序会导致冰冷,利用多元收纳方式隐藏物品,创造有序的视觉留白,叠加温感材质与柔和光影,展露有温度的秩序。过度追求温度可能会破坏功能体感,贯通理性秩序,产生情感故事与时光痕迹,定义有秩序的温度。

玄关,亦是小型休闲区,它“偷”得公区的采光,为归家的人奏响意境深远的序曲。打造低矮地台,用大理石明晰区域边界,映衬光之魅与影之韵。安排内凹空间呼应立柱的修长感,摆置优雅单椅,人躺其上,阅览晴空。

Extraordinary Taste

艺术客厅

The curved surfaces and beams create a balance of rigidity and flexibility, fostering a sense of connection and defining the living room's spatial domain. The TV backdrop utilizes a crisscross pattern, breaking the monotony of space and form and providing a richer atmosphere. Light, neutral tones are chosen for the seating area, expressing a delicate and rhythmic layering.

Silence and joy, clarity and richness, and global cultural and artistic mediums all contribute to the scene-based expression, creating an interactive and interesting interplay between people, objects, and the surroundings. The soft blocks extend outwards from the hard countertop, which is rendered in a dark hue and connects to the sleek yet mysterious sideboards, which channel the light energy they absorb into the exhibition space.

弧面与房梁,呈现刚柔并济的模样,促成感知节点,明确客厅的场域感。电视背景墙采用纵横交叠的手法,打破了空间与形式的单一表达,提供丰境可能。落座区甄选浅调中性色,表达层次的细腻与韵律。

沉默与雀跃,剔透与醇厚,世界文化与艺术载体,都助力了场景化表达,并从中创建人、物、境的互动趣致。软体块延伸出硬台面,硬台面渲染暗色调,连接利落又神秘的边柜,边柜将自身吸纳的光能赠予展陈空间。

Internal and External Progression

餐厨系统

The integrated dining island serves as a central hub for entertaining friends and family. The interlocking tiers and gaps tame light and shadow, allowing airflow to flow through the island, conveying the continuity of time and embodying the coexistence of order and warmth. The dining and kitchen areas are connected, offering unobstructed views. The U-shaped layout maintains the kitchen's sense of space and streamlines operational flow, further enhancing functionality.

The aisles are branched, with distinct primary and secondary functions. They are not limited to the basic function of drainage. They are paved with materials with different textures, color temperatures, and materials. They are used for framing, framing, and hanging paintings, bringing the fragrance after the rain, the warmth of the sun, and the vitality of animals and plants into the space. As people flow through it day after day, their mood becomes more stable and joyful.

餐岛一体的结构,是招待友人、家庭交流的核心枢纽,分层相间的缝隙设计驯服了光影,用穿过其中的气流书写时间的绵长,回应秩序与温度并存的意义。餐厨区位相连,互望自由。U形布局维持着厨房的空间感与操作流线的合理性,衍生功能。

过道分支,主次鲜明,不囿于基本的疏导功能,铺装纹理、色温、质地不同的材质,取景、框景、挂画,把雨后的清香、阳光的温度、动植物的生命力带入空间,当人日复一日的流转其中,心绪也变得越发稳定与愉悦。

Soul Belonging

睡眠简境

The master bedroom doesn't sell a single tranquility; it brings the future into the present. The design conceives the manifestation of living habits within the space, then employs calming contrasting colors, a unified atmosphere, subtle transitions, and embellishments that blend into the larger context, achieving a minimalist aesthetic that relaxes the body and soothes the mind.

The second bedroom, where the idea precedes the brush, transforms objective images into mental images, then externalizes them into brushstrokes, lingering with a unique temperament. The texture of the headboard leaves behind the aesthetic of light ink flowing through mist, evoking the sleeping mood of soft clouds and pink clouds, and complementing the elegant reading area, imbued with aesthetic nourishment and physical comfort.

主卧,不贩卖单一的静谧,让未来走进当下。构思起居习惯在空间之内的显现,再用平和的对比色、统一的氛围感、微妙的过渡节奏与融于大境的点缀形式,落实极简意涵,令身体松弛,令心情舒缓。
次卧,意在笔先,将客观物象转化为心象,再外化成笔墨,萦绕成独特的气质。床头的纹理留下淡墨走烟云的美感,引出绵云卧粉霞的睡眠意境,衬托优雅的阅读区,盈满审美养分与舒适体感。
