Poliform’s luxury kitchens blend meticulous Italian craftsmanship and technical innovation to create exceptional culinary spaces.Today, the kitchen is more than a place to cook – it’s a space for gathering, connection and creativity. With a focus on elegance, precision craftsmanship and intelligent design, Poliform kitchens are designed to be the beating heart of contemporary homes.
Founded in 1970 in the Brianza region of northern Italy – an area known for its rich woodworking traditions – Poliform has grown into one of the world’s most respected names in high-end furniture and kitchen design. Its artisanal lineage remains at the core of the company’s identity. “Every kitchen is still manufactured in Italy, ensuring meticulous attention to detail, from joinery to finish,” says Cathie Noel, sales manager at Poliform Australia. “This heritage of craftsmanship, combined with cutting-edge innovation, results in kitchens that are both contemporary and enduring.”Each collection in the Poliform range reflects this. Signature elements such as push-to-open systems, integrated appliances and modular layouts speak to a commitment to both form and function, while thoughtfully incorporated lighting and discreet storage make these kitchens perfectly suited to open-plan living.
One of the defining materials in Poliform kitchens is stainless steel. “Typically found in professional kitchens, stainless steel has evolved into a symbol of refined residential luxury,” says Noel. Across the collections – from minimalist Alea and Alea Pro to the versatile Shape, Artex and My Planet – stainless steel takes on many forms, such as a complete kitchen island, a refined benchtop or subtle accent. “Its versatility and durability make it a timeless choice for contemporary homes. It offers a sleek, reflective quality that enhances light and adds depth to interiors.”Across the board, Poliform kitchens showcase a rich mix of materials – timber, lacquer, glass, stone and metal – with every combination adding to the overall character and practicality of a space. “Each of our kitchen ranges is defined by a unique material palette that enhances its aesthetic and functional identity.”
The Alea and Alea Pro collections, for instance, offer a wide array of finishes including Inalco MDi stone, anodised aluminium profiles, glass, timber veneer and hard-wearing laminates. The Alea Pro also adds expressive detailing, with chamfered edges and transparent showcase doors. The Artex collection is more solid and architectural, with clean lines and generous proportions. “Designed for open-plan living, Artex combines a classic chamfered cabinet profile with a stone benchtop that mirrors the same profile. Our collection of metal lacquer finishes enhances that strong architectural presence.”The Shape range is all about creative freedom, combining stainless steel, lacquered finishes and solid timber to create easy transitions between kitchens and living areas. Meanwhile, My Planet caters to younger, design-conscious homeowners. “It’s about practicality and elegance. Matte laminates, wood melamine and glossy acrylics allow for high versatility in compact or dynamic spaces.”
Clients are encouraged to begin their personalised design journey in one of the brand’s vibrant showrooms in Melbourne,Sydney or Brisbane. “Visiting a Poliform showroom is an immersive experience,” says Noel. “These expansive, atmospheric spaces are thoughtfully curated to showcase the full breadth of our collections.” Here, clients can explore layouts, finishes and materials firsthand and understand how each system adapts to their lifestyle.One-on-one design consultations are also key to Poliform’s approach. “Clients work directly with experienced designers who guide them through every stage – from concept and layout planning to material selection and final installation.” This ensures that the end result is beautiful, functional and tailored to each client’s unique vision. “Poliform’s commitment to craftsmanship and customisation ensures that every kitchen tells its own story – one that reflects the lifestyle, taste and personality of its owner.”
