Designed by House of Creation and Studio Tenev, the city's first needle-free beauty clinic reimagines the conventional clinical environment—prioritising sensory experience, hospitality and openness over retreat and isolation.
Facing a vibrant streetscape, the clinic aims to bridge the distance that often exists between wellness environments and the public realm. The reception is shaped as an accessible showroom, displaying the clinic’s skincare offering and creating a gentle transition from street to interior. Integrated seating and a fluid spatial arrangement encourage visitors to step inside, offering a welcoming touchpoint that feels connected to the neighbourhood rather than shielded from it.
This gesture of openness informs the entire project. Inspired by Korean skincare philosophies centred on harmony and balance, the interior adopts a warm, tactile palette that supports a quieter state of mind. Terracotta surfaces, natural stone, timber, and softly reflective steel elements form a grounding material foundation. The gentle interplay of natural daylight and muted tones reinforces a serene atmosphere, balancing contemporary precision with an understated calmness suited to wellness experiences.
Bespoke elements anchor each function with intention. Custom joinery, tailored product displays, and carefully proportioned treatment rooms create continuity while allowing each area to serve its purpose efficiently. The treatment spaces maintain a focus on sensory comfort through modulated lighting, comforting textures, and acoustically softened finishes, shaping an environment attentive to both emotional and physical wellbeing.
Situated in Homansbyen, one of Oslo’s most energetic neighbourhoods, HHVN Laserlab introduces a new perspective on contemporary beauty and wellness interiors.

Since late 2024, House of Creation and Studio Tenev have united on a series of commercial interiors shaped by human presence and material expressiveness. While both studios maintain independent practices, their shared projects in Norway signal a collaborative vision that highlights architecture’s ability to influence emotional and physical wellbeing. Together, they prioritise sensory modulation—considering light, shadow, acoustics, touch, and spatial proportion as core tools for shaping meaningful environments.
This philosophy extends into their approach to longevity. The studios place emphasis on materials that carry a sense of history and are capable of ageing gracefully, reflecting a belief that environmental responsibility can coexist with contemporary elegance. Their work advocates for interiors that offer calm and clarity, providing respite from the intensity of urban routines.
Within this framework, HHVN Laserlab becomes a thoughtful study in wellness-focused spatial experience. The clinic merges hospitality cues with minimal, carefully crafted detailing, establishing a sense of tranquillity that supports advanced skincare technology while maintaining human warmth. Each element contributes to an environment shaped for presence, ease, and gentle sensory engagement—positioning Laserlab as a distinctive addition to Oslo’s evolving wellness landscape.
