Art Deco with a Mediterranean spirit? This is the new studio in Porto by designers Garcé Dimofski: "For us, timelessness is a form of resistance"Porto is the city that Olivier Garcé and Clio Dimofski, founders of Garcé Dimofski, have chosen to open a new studio, where they exhibit both their own pieces and others made by their favorite artists and creators. In a quiet corner of the bustling Rua da Alegria in Porto, a building forgotten in time awakens from a deep sleep. For decades its walls have remained in a silence broken now by two souls joined by a passion for craftsmanship, architecture and art. Olivier Garcé and Clio Dimofski, founders of Garcé Dimofski, met in Paris, where their paths crossed, giving rise to a collaboration that combines experiences in interior design, scenography, architecture and collectibles design. “Together we build a multidisciplinary practice rooted in minimalism and craftsmanship, where every gesture is essential and every material tells a story. Our work seeks the balance between structure and emotion, precision and imperfection,” they explain.
