Urquiola’s Vidalenta system comprises a range of modular seating options that embody the kind of informal alfresco style beloved by Antipodeans. “Built upon a finely calibrated balance, Vidalenta juxtaposes the welcoming softness of the upholstered parts and the disciplined rigour of its structure,” says the designer. “Its signature feature is the soft, voluminous cushions that rest with natural ease upon a base composed of slender metal tubing, characterised by a particularly eloquent constructional precision.”Options include two- and three-seat linear sofas and a modular corner piece, three armchairs, an upholstered bench, two chaise longues that can be paired to form a spacious daybed and a sunlounge. The collection also features dining, side and coffee tables in multiple dimensions, all featuring a characteristic fluted leitmotif. They feature tops crafted from Roman travertine, enamelled glass or solid iroko timber.
