Inspired by the principles of mid-century California modernism with a contemporary twist, Cervantes arranged the home as a long, single-storey structure. A low-pitched roof emphasises the residence’s horizontal form, which sits gently across the site. A gravel driveway leads to the entry, where large glass-and-timber front doors frame sightlines to the pool, lawn and lush gardens beyond. Here, the immediate impression is one of ease, openness and a connection to the outdoors.Inside, the atmosphere is light-filled and welcoming. The main pavilion and two smaller wings form a U-shaped layout around the central courtyard and lap pool. Glazed walkways link each wing, bringing in natural light and maintaining the outlook onto the garden. The main pavilion contains the kitchen, living and dining areas, along with three bedrooms, each with its own spacious ensuite and walk-in robe. One wing is dedicated to the generous primary suite, while the other houses a guestroom and study. Each bedroom is oriented to views of nature while still maintaining a sense of privacy and seclusion.
