Homes are rarely still. They expand, contract and quietly collect the evidence of everyday life. With Roam, Melbourne-based RJ Living leans into that gentle chaos, delivering its most expansive collection to date – and one designed to move with you.Spanning living, dining, bedroom, storage and accent pieces, Roam is built around the idea that interiors should feel layered and lived-in rather than overly styled. There’s a subtle mid-century influence at play in the confident lines and textural forms, but nothing feels nostalgic for nostalgia’s sake. Instead, rich timbers, rounded profiles and earthy tones are paired with comfort-led detailing and practical proportions ideally suited to contemporary Australian homes.

In the living room, adaptability is key. The Muro sofa anchors the collection with a modular system that can shift from a neat three-seater to an expansive chaise or corner configuration. It’s generous without being overbearing, indulgent yet inviting. Alongside it, the Check coffee and side tables bring crisp geometry and visible grain to the fore, while the Quart range – spanning dining tables, consoles, desks and coffee tables – introduces softly curved edges and distinctive quarter-conical legs crafted from American oak. What emerges is a cohesive family of pieces that transition easily between dining, working and relaxing.Storage designs balance visual rhythm with everyday utility. The Embellish sideboard and entertainment unit feature detailed timber fronts in deep oak that create movement across the surface, concealing ample internal compartments behind precise joinery. For a more materially bold statement, the Etch side table, carved from a single cylindrical stone form, offers a grounded, architectural presence.

Dining spaces are approached with similar thoughtfulness. The round Tone dining table, with its pedestal base, is compact enough for apartments yet bold enough to hold its own in open-plan settings. It pairs seamlessly with the Henri dining chair and bar stool, which combine structured timber frames with upholstered comfort. The Charm stool introduces handwoven texture, lending kitchens and casual dining areas a relaxed, tactile feel.Occasional seating continues the sculptural thread. The Crest armchair balances tapered lines with a cut-out base detail in a compact footprint, while the Follow swivel armchair adds subtle playfulness through its curved back and concealed rotation – well suited to dynamic, multifunctional rooms.

In the bedroom, curves soften the mood. The Lune bed reimagines classic forms through oversized rounded edges, while the Sidney slipcover bed head delivers a tailored, hotel-inspired backdrop with interchangeable covers for easy updates. Underfoot is a suite of rugs that ranges from handwoven wool designs with quiet ribbed textures to retro-inspired patterns and contoured, multi-height weaves. Cushions and mirrors – including gently profiled timber frames and more expressive, wavy silhouettes – complete the picture, enhancing light and adding depth without visual clutter. To celebrate the launch of Roam, RJ Living is hosting an immersive floral experience across its three showrooms – in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney – on 14-15 March. Customers can take home a bespoke floral arrangement created by local florists and inspired by the materiality of Roam. Abundant blooms and natural elements reflect the character and nostalgia that define the collection, creating an atmosphere that feels both hopeful and deeply personal.
