Designed by Ancré Studio in collaboration with JPWK Design, Résidence Allure is cast entirely in off-form concrete. Given the robustness of its architecture, the challenge was to soften its presence without compromising its clarity. “Rather than adding contrast, the approach was to build layers through material, colour and light, which subtly change how the space is perceived,” explains interior designer Alice Dalloz, founder of Ancré Studio.
Organised vertically due to the steep site, the house becomes increasingly private as it rises. Entry is through the rumpus level, where warm materials and an expressive ambience establish an intimate tone. Connected to the pool and outdoor entertaining areas, this social space allows for a richer expression of colour and texture than the more restrained levels above. One level up, the main living area forms the heart of daily life, expanding into a lighter palette, open plan and more fluid spatial experience. At the top, bedrooms and retreat zones occupy the dwelling’s most private floor. “Across the house, there is a gradual shift from more generous environments to restrained moments. It’s less about hierarchy and more about creating a rhythm between social and personal spaces,” Alice explains.
