Tucked into a maisonette, Pata House was designed for a local artist, her husband, and their two children — a home built to hold both everyday family life and the occasional full house of guests. The brief called for more than square footage: a proper play area, a reading nook, generous storage, and — on the upper level — a dedicated craft room where creativity could spill out freely. The most personal touch belongs to the homeowner herself: a mosaic tile mural at the foot of the stairs, handmade by the artist depicting stars, hearts, corn, a rabbit, and a flower. It's a small but powerful gesture — proof that this is a house designed not just for a family, but with one, built to be a space where the kids can grow up surrounded by their mother's own creativity.Pata House shows that a family home doesn't have to choose between playful and considered — it can be both.
