When Florence's JK Place decided to open a property in the heart of Roma, they could not have chosen a better building with its dignified palazzo façade that was once a private school and location within walking distance to Via Condotti and Spanish Steps.
The three- property design chain with outposts that include a dazzling property in Capri recruits interior architect Michelle Bonan to duplicate the visual fantasy of modern Italian glamour that mixes antique pieces with a more modern texture of colors, ornate stonework and lux upholstery in occasional giraffe or zebra pattern.
The result is a contemporary but old world feel that extends to JK Restaurant and Lounge, the main social areas of the hotel that introduces a new continental Italian café and formal eatery to the brand. While the properties lack a proper spa or fitness center, staff can arrange a visit to local gyms as well as dashing local trainers that will have you chasing them through the nearby parks and neighborhood.
