High in technology and big on design the 67-room Le Cinq Codet, is the only five-star hotel in Paris’ Rodin Museum neighbourhood.
Owned by a local French couple, the 1930s former France Telecom centre has been transformed by designer Jean-Philippe Nuel, into an art collector’s home where the rooms have a chic artist’s atelier feel. Dressed in plush carpets, light oak panelling and contrasting bespoke 30s and 40s Nuel furniture the hotel also features pieces by artist Gerard Garouste and designers Tom Dixon and Patricia Urquiola. The intimate restaurant serving contemporary French fare adjoins a leafy courtyard and the compact spa comes with an outdoor Jacuzzi on a Japanese-style deck.
