In the heart of Nashville’s bustling Midtown neighbourhood, the Kimpton group’s ever-growing portfolio has caught wind of the Music City’s fast-paced revival with the opening of The Aertson Hotel.
Designed in collaboration with San Francisco-based firm Gensler, the property’s interiors align with what the brand has become known for: clean, vibrant, and modern with a touch of local inspiration. To wit, sleek wood and marble accents – paired aptly with floor-to-ceiling windows - provide a bona fide ambiance in the 180 rooms, while letterpress artwork from Hatch Show Print, Nashville’s most renowned art shop, offer symbolic finishing touches.
Tasked to create the feeling of an artistic haven, New York-based curator Cynthia Reeves, has filled the public spaces with contemporary pieces from Asian, European, and American artists, including a red-hued Egyptian cotton installation by Anne Lindberg and Expose/Exposed by Korean wood sculptor Cha Jong Rye.
Better yet, the famed Music Row is just steps away, full of historic studios, record labels, and industry collectives, including the Nashville Songwriters Association International, with whom The Aertson Hotel has established an exclusive partnership. As part of the alliance, the property and the not-for-profit trade association offer the Sounds of Nashville package, an intimate opportunity to watch and interact in writer’s rounds while directly benefiting the town’s songwriting community.
