Taipei Sky Tower is a mixed-use, freestanding high-rise building in downtown Taipei. It is a new landmark and lifestyle-driven destination, situated in the prime location of Xinyi District. The architecture and the interior design of the tower reflect Taiwan’s unique balance of modernism and tradition. The tower houses retail spaces, restaurants and a performance center that lead to two hotels: Andaz Taipei; and Park Hyatt Taipei with interiors designed by ACPV. Taking inspiration from the ever-growing Chinese bamboo shoots and pleats of Greek columns—some of the oldest elements from the East and West—it is a uniquely harmonious skyscraper. The Tower enriches the urban skyline with its gleaming profile, while its base provides a welcoming, multi-functional public space. Scheduled for completion in 2020, the building will become Taiwan’s next-generation landmark of innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.
