Stainless steel wire drawingMinimalism isn't a style to me—it's a language I instinctively understand. It's direct, pure, and unambiguous, without any hint of pandering.
From the very beginning, I've been collecting minimalist furniture pieces that have accompanied and continually inspired me, gradually becoming an integral part of who I am. Throughout this journey, I've also wanted to create my own works.
I'm very familiar with minimalism, and creating pieces comes almost effortlessly to me. Many designs take only minutes to conceptualize—once the proportions feel right, I dive straight into production. Most works in this exhibition were conceived and completed within a month, as these forms had been lying dormant in my mind for quite some time.
I chose stainless steel because it possesses a certain temporal paradox—both vintage and futuristic. Stainless steel lends tension and weight to any form.
As Louis Kahn once said: "Ask the material what it wants to become."
